Too-short Holiday
author:jaNICE
*scowls*
I think this holiday is too short.
3rd - 20th Dec : Family vacation in Tasmania and Melbourne, Australia.
25th - 31st Dec : Visiting grandparents in Malaysia.
1st - 11th Jan : Tearing all my hair out over CORS. Fretting over what modules to take. Hoping to plan tuts more wisely, steering clear of more than 1 exam on the same day.
12th Jan : Sent back to the dungeon.
Happy holidays to all my friends! =D
Enjoy yourselves and hope to meet up with you guys soon!
Anyway, guess what! My little brother is going to his girl(space)friend's bday party and he asked me to help him buy a necklace for her online. ^_^OMG, I finally get to shop online again without spending my own money! I am clean for more than a month already. *pats myself on the back*
"Err... why you don't want to buy outside yourself? Cos maybe got no time to help you buy online. Need time for the post to arrive."
"Aiya, help me la! Guys buying girly stuff, very malu."
-_-
"I'll try then. I know a lot of nice sites but their stuff always very fast gone one, what's your budget?"
"$50"
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
"Serious?!?!?!?!"
"Yar, anything la. Just get me something you girls like."
So in the end, I bought this Flutura necklace from http://edynae.livejournal.com for my brother. Don't worry, the necklace costed less than half of his budget, that crazy boy with no sense of money. But... I probably will charge him service charge. Lala.

Was so excited when she updated 3 collections yesterday night! My favourite jewellery site finally updated! Love her caged collection, it's super pricey but gorgeous! I like her signature wired butterfly a lot too. ^-^ Hope his friend likes what is bought for her! Apparently the crystal has scratches at the back. Argh, pity pity, a bit worried abt this. *crosses my fingers that the necklace will be so pretty that the girl will like it no matter what.*
Dear Santa, for Christmas, can I have a C- for CM2121 organic chem?

Daffy's Surprise Cruise Party!
author:jaNICE

My favourite photo! Taken when the sun was setting and everyone looked great! :):):)
Wanted to post this entry a few weeks ago but got caught up in exam prep. DX
Attended Daffy's bday party with Ethel and Fiona! The party was susposed to be a surprise and it mostly was, except that she saw us when she was walking towards the boat. Haha. Oops. From every angle also can see us cos so open. :P
Here is the lovely boat that ZY rented:

Looks quite big and steady but actually when you leave your feet off solid ground and step on the floating platform and walk towards the boat, everything is swaying the whole way. @_@ Got a bit seasick towards the end. Heehee. It was loads of fun though and in short, a very different experience! Thanks ZY for the invite and xin ku ni le!
The bride and groom:

Oops, I meant *ahem* the couple.
So, after leaving the berth D7 at RSYC (some inaccessible place), the boat sailed to St John Island for us to have plenty of water fun!
3m jump into the water...

(which chicken me didn't do. Heh heh, instead I got into the water from the side of the boat instead. Hey! It was still a bit scary. =.=)

Great sunny fine weather throughout, what luck!
The seawater was so so so salty! Eurgh!

Treading water got tiring so Fiona and I depended on the life buoy. XDXDXD

After watching fireworks from the new musical fountain at sentosa, it was cake and pinata time! The chocolate cake was simply divine! Must go ask where is it bought from... Yum yum yum.

The pinata is some sort of tradition for daffy's bday party. Haha. I rmb last time her pri sch bday also got pinata. This time round, the pinata is a pink unicorn that took quite a while to bash it up. =/ Poor unicorn. Sadist and cruel us. :P

The 3 of us bought a Charles and Keith velvet black big bag for Daffy. So glad she likes it! I realise C&K bigs are not bad, quite good quality and plenty of nice designs. Best of all, the price is good for most present budgets. ;)Very popular too. Went back to the outlet a few weeks later and the bag is already OOS.
It's time to partyyyyyyyyy!

Sphere of Tiredness
author:jaNICE
O' long neglected blog of mine, I'm here to revive you with a post or two.Schoolwork is all my life is about right now.
This semester feels like it is flying by and it is the busiest and most tiring semester I have so far. The 3 weeks after recess week were really bad. I had to survive through 5 mid-terms, 5 chem lab reports and 1 forensic science lab report. Partly due to my procastination. =X Sigh, if there is a classification of this bad habit, I would fall under the "Very Serious Case" category. It got so bad that on a particular night, I had to do nearly 2 full chem reports because both were due the very next day. *gets a headache just thinking about it* In the end, I slept only 3+ hours and woke up feeling like crap. After my long lab the next day, I was still editing the lab report! Thankfully, the long lab was quite relaxing, consisting of my lab partner and I sitting in the air-conditioned lab taking conductance readings for hours. Thanks friends for helping me with the reports! I love you all. XD Without you guys, I wouldn't even be able to sleep at all I bet. Gah.
I spent way too much time doing my lab reports I admit. Take this deepavali monday for example, I took the whole day to finish 2 lab reports due the next day (yes, again, see? I never learn from my mistake). Anyway, I spent a long time playing with the excel graphs and keying all the x and y values in 1 by 1 without realising I can just copy and paste. ARGHHHHHHHHHHH. Oh well, at least I'm more familiar with using excel to draw the different kinds of graphs I need now.
On the day of the organic chem test, I was like the worst prepared, having studied barely half of the content tested. Resigned, I just wanted to get the test over and done with. Then, it turned out that the test was POSTPONED because the lecturer fell ill suddenly in the morning. O.O OMG! Can you believe it! Everyone was so relieved and happy even though the lecturer was ill. Oops? Anyway, I had an extra weekend to study but half of it was spent doing a lab report. My life seriously revolves around lab reports I tell you. >.< Organic chem is ridiculous. The content is so heavy and they expect us to cram everything in one single sem. The situation is so bad that the prof. made all organic tests and exams open-book and reduced the content by 5 chapters. I appreciate the changes very much but it is still very bad for me.
My last lab is next week. Until then, I will be doing my lab reports as usual. One more test coming up soon too...
On a happier note, I passed my manual driving test!!! Yay! :D:D:D My 2nd try. 1st try was immediate failure, like 2 mins after the test started. Hahaha, you can ask me about it if you want to know the details. For the 2nd test, I got this stern and black-faced instructor and a difficult test route. ): While queuing for the U-turn, the instructor said, "I said U-turn, not right turn. Do you understand?" His face was like "I am repeating my instructions because I think you are an idiot who doesn't understand english." Partly my fault because before that, I was shrieking like some bai-chi saying "Where is the U-turn???" frantically. Or maybe he was just nice enough to repeat because he doesn't want me to fail? Hmm, despite that, 2nd test was actually quite enjoyable because I chatted with a few people there, including another girl named "Janice". There was this Indian woman who was on her 7th try. AND SHE PASSED! So happy for her. =3 She was so delighted that she treated Janice and I to drinks. Heh. The licence arrived via registered mail and it's the first time my father cannot scold me for the mail. Lalala.
Oh oh oh! In the midst of the hectic weeks, I still took time out to join my very 1st Forever21 spree! It was organised by Daffy so I can save on postage by meeting up with her since she lives so near me. Heh. Thanks daffy! The items' quality were good. Bought 2 tunics, earrings and hairties. Will definately join her spree again if she holds another one! Haha.

Last Sunday, I went shopping at Orchard with my aunt and cousin. Finally buying my much-needed school flats! I bought 3 pairs! =D Which my aunt paid... I used to think shoes are not worth spending so much on but now I understand why people would pay the high prices. I bought this black flats with hearts patterned all over with a gold buckle. Totally matched my school bag. Then I bought this simple plain black flats at Taka. Gosh, the inner soles are simple divine! I'm super picky about shoes and omg, I feel like I'm walking on muah chee when I wear these shoes. ^-^ So happy. Discounted but still costed a bomb at $50. They don't look that price at all being so simple but the quality and comfort make it so worth it. Both my aunt and I bought gold cotton on flats too. Only $15 each and quite comfy even though quality is not very good la. So many colours too! But only black and gold are passable. Haha. The silver looks like aluminium foil and the red and blue are way too bright. My cousin was equally bad as me! He bought this Pedro loafers which costed near $100. Wow, the shop is very popular too despite the prices. The loafers look so comfy and the grip seems awesome. In short, I'm very willing to spend on shoes now. Why have a cupboard full of cheap shoes that give you blisters when you can spend the same amount of money buying less pairs that you will actually wear?
I hope my new school flats doesn't give me blisters! Late afternoon is also the best time to shop for shoes because that's when your feet is at their biggest. =O Interesting fact right!
I've decided not to keep fish anymore. *Sobs* No time to wash the tank and it saddens me everytime a fish die. My heart cannot take this any longer. I'll be keeping away my tank and ornaments. :'(
Will probably not be updating until after my final exams. Can't wait for the hols even though this hols will be short!

I like the mini chocolate bars along the side, so cuteeee.
Haha, this post is 8 days late.
Thanks for all the well-wishes! You guys made my day. Next year will be the big 21st. Gosh, I feel so old.
LOVE ALL MY BIRTHDAY PRESENTS!!! =D=D=D I'll wear and carry everything! The DP bracelet by rara, purple handbag and cloud squishy pouch by the gang, cloud flip-flops and skirt by cheewy! I totally adore the cloudy stuff. Very me. So happy. Cheewy, you wear your pink bunny flip-flops and I wear my cloud flip-flops out together one day ok!
Tell you all sth eerie... I had this urge to draw clouds on the birthday cards for the other july babes earlier on. =/ Then I got all these super cute cloudy presents. Coincidence ba! Hmmmmmmm. I gave a balloon birthday card to leilei and guess what! Hanhan gave me the exact same card as my birthday card! Great minds think alike? Haha, of all the cards we both could have chosen... oooooooooooo.....
Felt so good to sit and talk for hours with close friends... =)Love you all.

Month of Birthdays = Broke
author:jaNICE
Went shopping for birthday presents with Cheewy and Hanhan yesterday. First we had to fill ourselves up with energy. Ate Waruku for lunch. XD Nice! All 3 of us ordered different things so can 'kope' from each other. Very satisfying meal, costs each of us only $11+ somemore.
The shopping got off to a slow start but at the end of the day, we managed to buy everything we want and need! =D I'm very pleased with every single item that we bought! In addition, hanhan and I bought matching water bottles in different colours. Mine is of course baby purple and hers baby blue. Heh, I'm using it already. Love the colour a lot. Returned home broke but happy. :)It was a truly fruitful and focused outing.
Anyway, what I wrote in my msn nick is true. I am really shopping without spending. In fact, I am trading/swapping my clothes and accessories online! As you all know, I bought tons of useless stuff online. -_- So those that I don't like, I'm trying to sell or exchange them away. So far it has been loads of fun! I sold 1 bf shirt and traded quite a few items. One man's junk is another man's treasure.
I traded a D&G Copycat shirt for this purple kimono dress. Both brand-new.

Love it! =D The colour, soft material, size. Kimono cut suits me man...

Pretty right! So so pretty. And the dress is not bad either. ^^
Go check out hervelvetvase's new collection here:

Lots of eye candy! I really like the model. She makes every piece look fabulous. Overpriced though for something I cannot try. =P Still... HVV is one of the most popular sites and as you can see, most items are already sold out. O-o
Oh no, I shouldn't be. But I am. I am jealous.

My Time in Taiwan
author:jaNICE

-Nicest Group Photo-
Ohmigosh! Junhan turned into a bear! =O
I'm back from Taiwan! Haha, yeeaaaa... like 2 weeks ago. ^_^It was my very first trip with friends. Be honoured wo de di yi chi xian gei le ni men k. The whole trip was fun! I'm glad everything went smoothly. Taiwan was unbelievably hot. To make matters worse, it rained nearly everyday. Probably due to the typhoon. Luckily (or unluckily for me), the typhoon blew itself to Shenzhen instead. Errr, I was a bit disappointed because don't you think that experiencing a typhoon in Taiwan is exciting?!?! Typhoons generally last only a day there and as long as you stay indoors in a city, it is safe. My friends wanted to kill me because I kept saying the word 'typhoon' everyday. Heh. Even Ethel managed to feel a bit of earthquake when she was in Taiwan lor.
The photo above was taken at Lavender Garden at Gao Xiong. =)I love the food there! Super yummy. The lavender ice-cream was delicious too. Very unique taste.

Sheltering the flowers =^^=
After visiting the garden, we walked around Nei Wan. Nothing much there though except that I bought a pack of spongebob playing cards for my cousins. I remember the place from my previous 2 Taiwan tours. Dan Shui, Jiu Fen, Underground metro malls were some of the other places we visited. Can't rmb all, oops. Angie, aur and jh went up to Taipei 101 as well.

Dan Shui
Ahhhh, Junhan turned back into a human!

So romantic... =)Ssshh, let's leave this couple alone.
Of course, the highlight of Taiwan are the night markets!!! The chicken chop at Shilin night market is a must-try. Big and scrumptious! The stall is just right in front of the market, you can't miss the queue. Since we stayed in Ximengding, we shopped at the night market there. Found this huge multi-storey shop selling tons of clothes. The shop is located in a backalley and I did most of my shopping there on the last day. Pity didn't have more time to browse around. Han bought this cute striped sailor school bag while I bought a brown one. I realised that the bag charm on mine has the alphabets "D&D". Haha. Guess what it stands for... Dondon! What a coincidence. =D I like the bag even better now and dondon likes his new home too. We shopped a lot at Miki shops. They are found everywhere. One of the cheapest shops around with lots of variety selling clothes and shoes. Oooooooh, love the dresses hanhan bought! Very sweet~ Angie suddenly realised that she likes boyfriend shirts. Haha! They look good on you dear!
If you are in Taiwan, go eat the onigiris and cup noodles found at all 7-11s and family marts. So so nice! I totally regretted not buying them back. =( I wish I can move the whole 7-11 back to sg. The cup-noodles sold in sg are so blah in comparison. Haiz.
Total damage done:
Clothes - 1 jacket, 2 skirts, 2 denim pants, 1 denim shorts, 4 tops for $160
Shoes - 3 pairs for $30
Bag - $20
Umbrella - $5
Not bad right! Han angie and I spent around the same amt. :P Thanks Aunt for sponsoring $200 too! Aaahh, I miss ah zhong mian xian and milk tea already. *sobs*
No matter what, home is still the best though. To see more photos, just go to my facebook.
Let's go overseas together again!

Anime, Jdramas & Shrooms
author:jaNICE

I took ten thousand years to finish watching the 26 episodes of Ouran High School Host Club. I blame it on my brother. Dots, he got hooked onto it when I was watching halfway and I had to watch it together with him for the remaining episodes. The anime is nice! Love the ending. =D I appreciate all good endings now. The host club idea is ridiculous. Haha. I like Honey-senpai and Kyouya! Ahhhhhhhhh, Tamaki's purple eyes too. ^^
After Ouran, I started watching Liar Game, a short jdrama.

The girl (from death note) is so pretty and the guy is incredibly smart. Sheesh, the ending could have been more romantic though. =^^= Oh well, but it's so sweet that he comes to her rescue everytime.
"I think being stupidly honest ... ... is okay."
Awwwwwwwwwwww.
I'm currently watching another jdrama Absolute Boyfriend (Zettai Kareshi). Some parts are hilarious! =D Got a few eye candy, kekeke. The robot is so kawaii, lol. I feel so sorry for him sometimes. Manga's ending is so sad though, I wonder if the drama will follow it...
Thanks angie and cheewy for recommending all these nice anime and jdramas! I think my taste is very similar to cheewy's! Heh, so cheewy must tell me if you like any more shows k!
I was so tempted to buy this kimono top just now.

Shop's URL is http://momoteapots.livejournal.com/ I like most of the clothes there! So cute right, I love shrooms. ^_^ But I managed to control myself! PRAISE ME! I will be going Taiwan next Tues for a week of shopping and eating so I figured I should buy less while in SG now, (so I can buy more in Taiwan!)
Watched Penelope with cheewy at cineleisure yesterday. The movie was very short, 90 mins only. It was just ok, the mother was funny though. :P
Welcome back to SG, cheryl and mich!~
